Meridian Healthcare announces jobs fair for the £4.7m The Oakes Care Centre in Huddersfield.

The recruitment drive is in anticipation of The Oakes opening in April 2012 and will seek to recruit staff for all aspects of the service. The Meridian team will be recruiting for up to 60 posts on the day.

The team who will be at Huddersfield Town Hall on Wednesday 18th January from 10am to 3pm, will be asking for interested applicants to apply for roles including: domestics, carers, activities coordinator and deputy manager.

The Oakes will provide state of the art care for older people in the Oakes and Lindley area of Huddersfield. Offering residential and specialised dementia care, the Meridian team are particularly looking for people with experience in the care sector although full training will be provided for caring individuals who wish to start their career in care.

Meridian Healthcare is one of a select band of employers awarded Investors in People GOLD status. This prestigious award has been achieved by only 1% of companies accredited with the IIP standard and only 14 other care home providers in the UK. The IIP Gold recognises the importance Meridian places on the training and development of its staff for the benefit of residents.
