Meridian appoint Group Operations Director

Meridian Healthcare has appointed Ann Marie Heaps as Group Operations Director. Ann Marie joined the company in May 2010 and will report to MD Susan Firth.

A registered nurse, Ann Marie has previously had a number of senior positions with large corporate organisations in the adult services sector. She brings a wealth of strategic and hands on experience to the position. Ann Marie is supported at Meridian by an experienced team of Operations Managers responsible for the 27 strong portfolio of care centres.

She continued 'Ann Marie will put our resident's quality of life first whilst maintaining a very commercial perspective, a crucial quality over the coming years.'

The appointment comes after a major restructure in 2008 of the groups' Directorate which saw Susan Firth appointed to the role of Managing Director and Alan Firth taking on the role of Executive Chairman. Meridian is now one of a minority of operators reporting 100% 'Good' or 'Excellent' CQC ratings.
