Holme Lea welcome new manager

Meridian Healthcare is pleased to announce that Irene Booth has been appointed the new Care Centre Manager at Holme Lea Care Centre in Stalybridge, Tameside.
Residents and staff have warmly welcomed Irene whose caring nature, enthusiasm and professionalism are evident as soon as you meet her. When the staff heard that Irene had accepted the position they arranged a collection and presented her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers to welcome her as the new manager.
Irene comments: "I am delighted to be here at Holme Lea, it is a fabulous care centre and the residents and staff are very friendly. They have made me feel very welcome. I am looking forward to the new challenges this role brings and hope to maintain and improve on the high standards of care the team provides here."
Irene is a charming and inspiring care manager with 17 years experience in a range of care roles. During her time with Meridian Healthcare she has followed the company's career development programme, starting as a care assistant, progressing to a senior carer then deputy manager all at Kingsfield care centre in Ashton under Lyne. She has been a Registered Manager for 7 years and during this period has managed Sandon House Care Centre in Mossley.
Throughout her career Irene has gained the Registered Managers Award and HNC in Managing Health and Social Care, she also has a wide range of other qualifications to compliment her role.
Holme Lea Care Centre provides residential and dementia care for 48 older people. The home is purpose built over two floors and offers residents spacious single rooms many with en suite facilities.
