Garforth: new site
Planning permission for our new site in Garforth Leeds has been granted with work starting on site in November 2014. The site will be the seventh Premiere home within the group and is scheduled to be open during Autumn 2015.
The Denby at Denby Dale - opening November 2014
The Denby is a 47 bed care home, located in the small village of Denby Dale in West Yorkshire. The home offers a Gym, Spa, Hair salon and two dining experienced. A range of luxurious rooms are available.
The Oakes in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire - opened 2012
A 60 bed care centre in the Oakes area of the city of Huddersfield. The
development brought back to life a redundant site, contributing to the
long-term regeneration of the area. Work started on site in March 2011 with the demolition of the existing building and our first resident was welcomed in April 2012.
Millbrook in Stalybridge, Tameside - opened 2011
Meridian created a stunning development on the St James' School site in the village of Millbrook, Stalybridge. The care home provides accommodation for up to 46 residents and provides a luxurious and comfortable environment. Work started in late Spring 2010 with the home opening in Autumn 2011.
Refurbishment & Extensions
March 2014: White Rose House, Holmfirth [PREMIERE HOME]
White Rose House has been transformed into a Premiere care home. Luxurious fixtures and fittings combined with additional facilities such as a piano lounge, Caffe Primo, Serenity Spa and Elegance Hair Salon.
January 2014: Kirkby House, Knowsley
All areas within the home have been upgraded, including bedroom furniture which is a specialist dementia care range. The home has also benefited from the creation of a safe, secure garden for residents to sit and have their meals on sunny days. We introduced a state-of-the-art sun therapy room. Patio doors have been added to lounge areas to enable easy access to our new garden.
January 2014: Roby Lodge, Knowsley
Roby Lodge has received a complete makeover with all furniture replaced, including bedroom furniture. We have invested in a dementia range of bedroom furniture. The home has also had major improvements to gardens and has provided access to gardens from bedrooms by adding patio doors.
January 2014: Sunnyside, Droyslden, Tameside
We reconfigured communal areas and replaced all the living and dining furniture, making this home feel fresh and updated.We also created a lovely secure garden with 'Dutch Barn' for residents to sit outside in safety.
December 2013: Kingsfield, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside
Kingsfield living areas have been upgraded. We have also introduced a sun therapy room, which has made a big impact on the lives of people living at the home.
November 2013: Acacia Court, Pudsey, Leeds [PREMIERE]
Acacia Court has been transformed into a Premiere care home. Luxurious fixtures and fittings combined with additional facilities such as a piano lounge and Elegance Hair Salon.
November 2013: Hyde Nursing Home, Hyde Tameside
We upgraded facilities within our dementia suite and added a fantastic sun therapy room.
November 2013: The Sycamores, Hyde, Tameside
We have upgraded outside living spaces and invested in new furniture, fixtures and fittings for communal living and dining areas.
November 2013: Yew Trees, Dukinfield, Tameside
April 2012: Lauren Court, Chester [PREMIERE]
We transformed Lauren Court into a Premiere home and relaunched in Spring 2012 with the help of the Lord Mayor of Chester.
April 2011: Kingsfield, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside
Work will commence from April 2011 on the refurbishment of Kingsfield, a residential and dementia care centre in Ashton.
February 2011: Daisy Nook House, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside
Daisy Nook House received a full make over to all lounge, dining and communal areas. The refurbishment included the replacement of furniture and a full decoration. Work completed in February 2011.
February 2011: Roby House, Huyton, Knowsley
A further en suite bedroom has been added to Roby House in Huyton. Roby House offers nursing and residential care services.
January 2011: White Rose House, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire
Work started in late January 2011 on the decoration and refurbishment of White Rose House communal areas: areas include all lounge and dining rooms along with corridors and reception. The project completed in March 2011.
January 2011: Yew Trees, Dukinfield, Tameside
Work started in January 2011 on Yew Trees in Dukinfield. This major refurbishment involves the reconfiguration of space within the care centre to create additional lounge and dining space for clients whilst also creating further en suite bedrooms.
The work at Yew Trees, which provides care for those with advanced dementia, will provide a more ambient environment for residents.
December 2010: Ash Court, Knotty Ash, Liverpool
Ash Court benefits from the addition of 2 large en suite bedrooms both with walk-in showers. A further en suite shower room has been added to an existing bedroom.The lounge and dining rooms throughout the home have also benefited from a makeover.
The work takes the care centre to 42 bedrooms.
November 2010: Fir Trees, Dukinfield, Tameside
Following refurbishment and development work in November, Fir Trees now boasts an additional large ensuite bedroom. An existing bedroom has also been given a large ensuite walk-in shower. The care centre now provides accommodation for up to 46 residents and offers mainly ensuite bedrooms.
January 2010: Rievaulx House, Armley, Leeds
A further 2 bedrooms were added to Rievaulx House in Leeds in 2010. The care centre now accommodates up to 50 residential clients.
Since opening in August 2008, the care centre has generated a lot of interest in the local community, reaching 100% occupancy within 6 months of opening.
November 2009: Holme Lea, Stalybridge, Tameside
Holme Lea residents and staff were delighted that all lounge and dining areas were treated to an upgrade in time for Christmas. Residents and their families along with local healthcare professionals were invited to a walk-around afternoon in early December. October 2009: Kirkby House, Kirkby, Knowsley
Kirkby House in Knowsley underwent a refubishment programme during early October 2009 which re-developed the lounge and dining areas and improved the general standard of internal decoration throughout the care centre.

Meridian Healthcare continued its investment programme with impressive refurbishments taking place at Westwood Lodge Nursing and Care Centre in Wigan.
The work follows a major refurbishment programme in 2007 which saw the modernisation of all bedrooms and communal areas. Further redecoration which completed in March 2009 saw the improvement of Westwood House, the smaller unit of Westwood Lodge which encompasses 25 of the care centre's 76 bedrooms.
The refurbishment includes the redecoration of the 25 bedrooms in Westwood House and the updating of furniture in communal areas such as the lounge and dining rooms. Care Centre Manager, Maria Mather commented ahead of the work taking place: 'Residents and relatives are getting very excited about the upgrade as it takes shape. A good environment always helps to enrich the lives of the residents, and also makes the home a nicer place to work for the staff.'
