What is 'Day Care'?
Join us at Daisy Nook, Fir Trees or Greatwood House in Tameside where we provide dedicated Day Care facilities designed to provide additional support to those who wish to remain in their own home but welcome the opportunity to engage in activities and enjoy the company of others on a daily basis.
These care centres work in partnership with the Local Authority and provide an active, enjoyable and safe environment where you can make new friends and join in with activities which we believe are essential. Our specialised activity programmes are designed to provide stimulation and enjoyment for all, through reminiscence, sensory experiences, talking and games.
Each Day Care Centre can accommodate a varying numbers of visitors. A mid-morning snack, lunch and afternoon tea are provided and each visitor receives excellent care provision from our well trained and caring Day Care staff. Each Day Care Centre also has its own toilet and bathing facilities, separate to the main home.
Who is Day Care for?
Due to our collaboration with the Local Authority, you are required to express your interest in Day Care to the Tameside Social Care and Health Team (see below) who will assign a social worker to refer you to your chosen Day Care Centre. In addition, the Local Authority will provide transport, which we will gladly coordinate on your behalf, if required.
