Meridian Healthcare is proud to announce the appointment of new Peripatetic Manager Anne Cowgill.

Anne joined Meridian Healthcare in June 2008 and has taken up the role of Peripatetic Manager, providing best practice guidance and advice to the group’s 26 care centres.

Anne will provide vital support as the company continues to grow. Meridian has just announced the completion of Rievaulx House in Leeds and also plans to add a further 40 beds in Huyton in Spring 2009. Anne will started her new role shadowing staff at Meridian’s ‘excellent’ rated Greatwood House Care Centre in Tameside before moving onto Roby House in Huyton.

Anne has over 21 years experience in the social care sector and comes to Meridian from Manchester Care where she was a Care Centre Manager for 5 years. A specialist in dementia care, Anne has also achieved her Registered Manager Award and a City & Guilds in Leadership & Management. She has also completed a wide range of training programmes to complement her role including NVQ A1 Assessor and ‘Train the Trainer’ in Moving & Handling.

Anne is delighted with her new role, she comments: ‘I am thrilled to be working for Meridian Healthcare. It is a company renowned for their attention to quality care and comprehensive training for staff and I am looking forward to the opportunity of sharing my knowledge and skills whilst developing them further in order to support the care centre managers in providing care that exceeds the clients expectations.’
