HYDE WISH DOROTHY A HAPPY RETIREMENT
Dorothy has worked with the team and residents at Hyde Nursing & Care Centre in Cheshire for over 24 years with a total of 39 years experience as a Registered Nurse. Dorothy remembers when the home was built and has enjoyed her time working there and watching it evolve into the bright and beautiful care centre it is today. She comments: ‘I have enjoyed my time here at Hyde, my passion is caring for people, I will miss all of the staff and residents, especially those on Flowery Field Court where I spent the majority of my shifts.’ She added: ‘Whilst I will miss everyone I am looking forward to spending my new found free time on enjoying my favourite pastimes, I have a few holidays booked and I will be dedicating more time to creative activities such as card making which I really like to do.’
Care Centre Manager Helen Hubbert commented: ‘Dorothy is irreplaceable and we will all miss her, she was adored by the residents, their families and all of the staff here at Hyde. She is dependable and has been a great trainer to her colleagues, born from the old school of nursing, Dorothy has been genuinely caring in every aspect of her role over the past 24 years with us also in embracing the introduction of the Gold Standards Framework for Palliative and end of life care helping us as a team to provide the very best care for our residents. On behalf of all of the staff and residents I would like to wish her all the best for retirement and hope she enjoys herself.’
