Elaine Bradley has been appointed as Care Centre Manager for Kingsfield in Ashton under Lyne, a specialist care centre for older people with dementia related conditions. Elaine’s appointment follows long serving Manager Rita Shockledge who retired from the care centre in January 2008.

Elaine has 10 years care experience with Meridian, including her pervious role as Manager of Holme Lea, a residential care centre in Stalybridge. She has achieved the Registered Manager Award and completed a wide range of training programmes to compliment her role as Care Centre Manager.

Kingsfield Care Centre in Ashton under Lyne provides specialist care for up to 54 older people with dementia related conditions. Elaine is enjoying her new role, she commented: ‘The team here at Kingsfield are fantastic and the residents are a friendly and interesting group of people, it is definitely a great challenge for me coming to a care centre which provides specialist dementia care and I am looking forward to sharing my experience with the team and also to furthering my skills and knowledge in this area to ensure that our residents receive care that is of the highest quality.‘

Operations Manager Bernice Priest commented: ‘Elaine has been with Meridian for many years now and has a wealth of experience as a Care Centre Manager and is also highly trained in the area of Dementia Care. She has completed courses in Mental Health Awareness, Safeguarding Adults and Alzheimer’s ‘Care to Make the Difference’ training. I believe Elaine has the expertise to lead the team at Kingsfield in continuing to provide first class care to the 54 residents in their care.
