The 29th May was cause for a double celebration for Yew Trees Care Centre Cook, Sheila Ollerenshaw as she received her 5 year long service award and cards and presents to mark her 70th Birthday.

An active grandmother of 5, when she isn’t cooking up delicious meals for the 40 residents at Yew Trees, Sheila likes to spend her free time with her family taking relaxing walks in the country and amateur photography, Sheila says ‘I really love my job, age doesn’t mean anything, I think at 70 if you enjoy what you are doing and are still able to work then you should carry on having fun. The team are great friends and the residents are a lovely group of people to work with.’

To celebrate her birthday and long service award Sheila was presented with an array of cards, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, certificate and badge for her long service along with vouchers for a gift of her choice. Care Centre Manager Susan Chadwick comments: ‘Sheila is a fantastic cook and one of the nicest people you will ever meet, she is helpful, dedicated and always has a smile for everyone. On behalf of all of the team here at Yew Trees I would like to congratulate Sheila on 5 years long service and wish her a very happy 70th birthday, we all hope she has a fabulous day,’ Susan added with a smile ‘And there is nothing left but to say but here’s to the next ten years!’
