Colin McKinless and Alan Firth at the Stamford Court opening

STAMFORD COURT BREAKS 10 YEAR BUILDING GAP

08/06/2004
Stamford Court Residential and Nursing Care Centre was officially opened by Colin McKinless, Executive Director (Social Care and Health) for Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, on Thursday 24th June. More than 50 invited guests, including many of the boroughs health professionals, attended the opening.

Colin McKinless’s direct involvement in strategy for care for the elderly in the borough made him an ideal choice to officiate at the opening ceremony. His speech focused on the importance of quality in residential and nursing care for the elderly and praised the determination and drive of the Meridian Healthcare group in continuing to focus on quality care provision, environment and services.

He went on to highlight the importance of the Stamford Court development for Tameside elderly, given the lack of purpose built care home developments in the borough over the last 10 years. Colin wished the new facility every success and thanked Alan Firth, Meridian Healthcare Managing Director for the continued effort to improve and raise quality standards
