MERIDIAN APPOINTS NEW HR MANAGER
Joanne took up her new role on the 1st May. Originally joining the Meridian team in 2005 as a HR administrator, Joanne developed her knowledge and skills and quickly progressing to HR Officer. During the 3 years Joanne has spent at Meridian she has seized the opportunity to further her career by studying hard for the CIPD post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management sponsored by the group.
Meridian currently own 25 care centres across the North West with 2 further ‘state of the art’ centres due to open in the next 12 months. Joanne’s new role encompasses the management of Meridian’s HR operations from recruitment to performance development. With over 1200 staff the HR role is essential to ensure Meridian maintains and builds on its excellent reputation and track record.
Joanne is looking forward to taking on this complex role, she comments: ‘I would not have got where I am today without my ability to embrace a challenge, although the past three years have been hard work, I have thoroughly enjoyed furthering my knowledge and skills and I am thankful to Meridian for supporting me through this time and for recognising my potential. It is an exciting and busy time for the HR team at present with Rievaulx House in Leeds due to open in July but I am confident that as a HR team we can continue to drive the success of the company and develop to new heights of excellence.
