Residents at Lauren Court and local children got creative last week to decorate not only the Care Centre with eggs and cards but also themselves with beautifully designed bonnets to celebrate Easter.

Care Assistant Tracey Moss has taken on a challenge this March with a new role as Lauren Court’s in house Activities Co ordinator. Tracey comments: ‘I am really excited about this new role, I have talked to the residents here at Lauren Court to see what kind of activities they would like to participate in and come up with a programme which will hopefully have something for everyone in. We had great fun creating Easter cards on Sunday which are on display in reception and brighten up the place beautifully and for today’s activities we decided to get a little bit messier and create some Easter bonnets and painted Eggs, we invited some of the children from the local community and shared our creative ideas and I must say the Easter bonnets look fabulous, it has been a lot of fun and nice to see everyone working together and having a bit of a giggle in the process.’

Other activities this week include guess the total value of the coins in the glass bottle which was donated by the Home Guard Club, other fun days to look forward to include a ‘come to work in your pajamas day’ for the staff to help raise money for the residents activity fund, Tracey comments: ‘This is a day the residents are definitely looking forward to, they think it is totally crazy and are wondering what designs we will have on our PJs.’ Tracey has compiled an action packed programme for the upcoming weeks which is on display around Lauren Court.
