AMBER CELEBRATE 4 STAR SUCCESS
The ‘Scores on the Doors’ scheme, introduced in June 2007 by Leeds City Council along with other west and south Yorkshire Local Authorities awards a star rating to local businesses for the standard of their catering facilities. The star rating awarded is based on a food hygiene inspection carried out by the local authority. Included in the scoring for the award are the following areas; Food hygiene and procedures, Structural conditions and cleanliness and confidence in management. The scores for each section are added together to produce an overall star rating from 5 stars for excellent to 0 stars for very poor.
Amber Lodge Chef, Cavell Stead commented: ‘It is fantastic to receive this award, it is such a morale booster for the team and lovely to get the extra recognition that we are doing our job well.’
Care Centre Manager Lynne Dawson says: ‘It is great to be awarded 4 Stars and a testament to Cavell and his team who work tirelessly to ensure the facilities are kept to a high standard whilst producing tasty meals three times a day for the 40 residents here at Amber Lodge. I would like to say congratulations to the kitchen team and hope they keep up the good work.’
