GOLD AWARD MARIE MAKES IT A HAT-TRICK FOR GREATWOOD
The Gold Employee Merit Award Scheme is run by Meridian Healthcare’s HR department to recognise outstanding performance and consistent delivery of high quality service to the residents. Nominations for the award are made by colleagues, residents and visitors to the care centres and the winners are announced quarterly.
Marie who has worked with the group for 24 years was presented with a certificate and gift vouchers for a gift of her choice in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Meridian Healthcare. Marie comments: ‘I am totally shocked to receive the award, I am just doing my job! I always try to lead by example and enjoy working with the fantastic team and residents at Greatwood. I shall enjoy a shopping spree with the vouchers, thank you very much to those who nominated me.’
Presenting the award on behalf of Meridian Healthcare, Group Quality Assurance and HR Manager Eve Hone believes Marie is deserving of such an accolade: ‘Marie makes an outstanding contribution to care in Tameside, she promotes high standards and ensures the up keep of quality facilities. She is a fine example of the Group’s ‘grow your own’ policy having started as a Domestic 24 years ago she has worked tirelessly to achieve excellent results and invests a lot of time into the training of her team with the NVQ level 2 or above rate for Greatwood House at over 75%. I would like to congratulate Marie on behalf of all at Meridian Healthcare on the Gold Award achievement.’
