Pantomime at Greatwood House

PANTO PLEASURE AT GREATWOOD

19/12/2007
It is Christmas time once again and the panto season is upon us, residents at Greatwood House were treated to a performance of Cinderella at the Denton Care Centre yesterday, 18th December.

Cinderella and her companions played by actors from the Well Done Production Company brought their portable presentation to the Pavilion at Greatwood House and had the 60 residents captivated, singing and clapping along to the music and providing the booing and shouts of ‘it’s behind you’ where appropriate.

In house Activities Coordinator Tina Parker organised the afternoon as a part of the Care Centre’s Christmas entertainment programme, she comments: ‘The performance was excellent and the costumes were fabulous, the actors were so enthusiastic and this reflected in the audience participation they received, it was lovely to see the residents in fits of giggles and singing along to the music, it was like having the theatre in your own front room, the only thing that was missing was the interval ice cream usherette!’
