Residents at Meridian Healthcare’s April Park in Eckington enjoyed live music by the Blue Haze Duo whilst indulging in a Christmas tipple and mince pie at the home yesterday, 17th December.

The afternoon’s entertainment was arranged by in house activities coordinator Nicola Vardy as part of the action packed Christmas programme for this December. Residents were treated to a selection of old time favourites and Christmas songs by the singing act the Blue Haze Duo which had toes tapping and hands clapping. Nicola comments: ‘The residents always love live entertainment acts, we run a varied in house activity programme here at April Park and it is always nice to have a special afternoon every so often. We try to run activities that will suit all tastes and abilities and for those residents who like the quiet life we have one to one sessions where we treat them to beauty treatments or even just a chat over a cup of tea, there is never a dull moment.’
