Residents and staff at Meridian Healthcare’s Hyde Nursing & Care Centre were treated to a production of Dick Whittington at the home on Monday 10 December which made the atmosphere in the Pavilion come alive with the sound of laughter.

The production of Dick Whittington performed in the Pavilion at Hyde Nursing & Care Centre was presented by Partytime Productions, a local drama group who perform across the north west in care centres and other venues. The entertainment was organised by Care Centre Manager Helen Hubbert as a part of the in-house Christmas Activities programme scheduled for December, Helen comments: ‘The pantomime was excellent, it was impressive how it was done, the portable stage backdrop and the costumes were fabulous. The residents really enjoyed the afternoon and there was a lot of participation with clapping along and the usual ‘it’s behind you!’ Overall the production was a big hit and what is Christmas without a pantomime?’
