Lauren Court in Chester received a glowing report from care regulator CSCI ( Commission for Social Care Inspection), following the first inspection since Meridian Healthcare acquired the care home in 2006.

CSCI registers, regulates and inspects all social care services in England ensuring that all homes meet strict standards in order to promote delivery of excellent services to those in care.

Registered in May 2006 Lauren Court joined the Meridian Healthcare Group in December of the same year, since then the team at Lauren Court has expanded and worked tirelessly to ensure that staff are trained to NVQ Health & Social Care Level 2 or above and that new staff are enrolled on courses in order to provide care to their residents that is of the highest standard.

The home has not only seen expansion of the care team but also some investment changes to improve on the fantastic facilities on offer, this has included an additional en suite bedroom, new furniture in the upstairs lounge to give a more homely feel and the creation of a larger hairdressing salon and beauty therapy room where residents can enjoy a session of pampering and relaxation.

Acting Care Centre Manager Sarah Molloy comments: ‘It has been a busy year for the team here at Lauren Court, however together we have built a strong and friendly team who not only take great pride in providing excellent care to our residents but also have a laugh and a joke with them as well, it is important to us to offer all of our residents care to meet their individual needs and I feel the staff here do that brilliantly, the CSCI report is a testament to the hard work they consistently put in every day, I would like to congratulate them all and say keep up the good work.’
