Residents and Staff at Meridian Healthcare’s Ash Court Care Centre in Knotty Ash celebrated Halloween early this year with a spooktacular party at the home on Friday afternoon.

Ash Court staff attended the party in their scariest attire looking like extras from Michael Jackson’s Thriller video and residents donned their magnificent witches hats decorated earlier in the weeks craft activity session in the hope of securing first prize in the Scary Hat Competition judged on the day by Acting Care Centre Manager Linda Berry.

Everybody enjoyed the afternoon and indulged in a quick tipple and the Halloween decorated cakes went down well with all the residents who attended, Linda Berry comments: ‘Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the party, the costumes were fantastic and the hats made by the residents were so creative, we had spiders, cobwebs, crazy orange hair, you name it and the residents had covered it. The judging was difficult as everyone had come up with a unique design, however there had to be a winner, congratulations to Joan Bickerton who was presented with a box of chocolates to enjoy.’
