Residents at Meridian Healthcare’s Hyde Nursing Home made the most of the rare British summer sun yesterday to enjoy a cup of tea out on the patio comfortably relaxing on their new garden furniture bought earlier in the season with the kind donation from healthcare policy provider Healthsure.

Hyde Nursing Home provides 24-hour nursing care for up to 100 residents in the Tameside area. Care Centre Manager Helen Hubbert comments: ‘The donation was used to buy new garden furniture at the beginning of the season but due to the dreadful weather we have experience recently they have not used it much. Our residents love the sunshine so when it appears, it is nice for them to be able to enjoy it out in the fresh air with friends and family. On behalf of Meridian Healthcare I would like to thank Healthsure for their kind contribution to our home, it will be appreciated by all of the residents here at Hyde Nursing Home.’

Charitable trustee Les Pattison found out about the work carried out at Hyde. She explains: ‘Healthsure is delighted to be able to help Hyde Nursing Home with this donation. A number of our policy holders live in the area so it is great to see how their contributions are positively benefiting their local community.’
