Staff and residents at Meridian Healthcare’s Lauren Court in Chester celebrated the homes 1st Birthday on the 20th June with a party at the home with tea, cakes and lots of laughter.

Acquired by Meridian Healthcare in December 2006, Lauren Court was officially opened in May earlier that year. A purpose built home over two levels, Lauren Court provides top quality residential care for up to 47 older people in beautiful surroundings rivalling that of a 5 star hotel.

Acting Care Centre Manager Sarah Molloy and her team arranged the party inviting resident’s family and members of the local community, Sarah comments: ‘We love any excuse for a party at Lauren Court, it is hard to believe that the home has been open for only a year, all of the staff and residents are so friendly and have bonded quickly. On behalf of the residents and team at Lauren Court I would like to thank everyone who made the time to join us in celebrating this special day, we will have to start planning the next birthday bash as this will be a hard act to follow.’

The afternoon was enjoyed by all, Mr Brian Reay, relative of resident Rhona Reay commented: Lauren Court is a beautiful place and Mum is happy here, I would just like to say that the food is great.’ The party was catered by the homes in-house chef including a delicious birthday cake.
