Lauren Court Care Centre in Chester is the most recent of the Meridian Healthcare group to achieve the coveted Investor in People (IIP) award, resulting in all 25 homes now proudly displaying the award.

Widely adopted amongst business, the Investors In People Award is seen as particularly important by all the staff at Lauren Court. The IIP award recognises that Lauren Court provides effective management and development of its carers to the benefit of its residents. Also inspected recently by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI – the sector regulator), Lauren Court clearly demonstrates excellent practice with regard to both staff and care for residents.

Acting Care Centre Manager Sarah Molloy has only positive things so say about the IiP standard: ‘The quality of our training programme has seen benefits for both residents and our staff. We don’t intend to rest on our laurels however and will embrace the standards’ philosophy of continual improvement.’ She continued by congratulating all the Lauren Court staff: ‘I am delighted for everyone at Lauren Court. We have worked hard to recruit the very best staff for our residents and to support ongoing training and development with good systems and procedures.’

Acquired on 1st December 2006, Lauren Court is newest member of the Meridian group. Purpose built and opened in May 2006 the care centre offers single en suite bedrooms throughout and compliments the high standards set by the rest of the portfolio. Lauren Court is the first Meridian care centre in the Chester area.
