Staff at Meridian Healthcare’s Stamford Court Stamford Court and Holme Lea Holme Lea are delighted to have achieved their NVQ Assessor Course in record time!

The course has been successfully completed by Care Centre Manager at Stamford Court, Christine Evans, Care Assistant Lisa Embury also from Stamford Court and Care Assistant Christopher Wright from Holme Lea. On finishing the fast-track 12 week course, which usually takes 10 months to complete, they are now able to provide in-house training to other members of staff working towards their NVQ qualifications.

The staff found the course challenging but are delighted to have achieved the qualification. Care Centre Manager at Stamford Court, Christine Evans commented, ‘The assessments, training days and extra work involved made the assessor course extremely hard work. However, the benefits that it brings to our staff makes it all worthwhile, Lisa already has an NVQ candidate who she is training. It means better qualifications for our staff and consequently maintains the high standard of care we offer in all our care centers.’

This qualification contributes a great deal to the overall success of Meridian Healthcare staff in achieving their NVQ qualifications. With the industry requirement for staff qualified to NVQ Level 2 being 50%, Meridian Healthcare far surpass this with 63% of their current staff group having reached NVQ Level 2.
