FABULOUS FAZAKERLEY HOUSE SHORTLISTED FOR AWARD

12/01/2006
Fazakerly House Care Centre in Prescot, Knowsley is one of three finalists in the prestigious Pinders/This Caring Business Healthcare Awards.

The award is for ‘Best Revival Project’ and is based on how the care centre has undergone drastic improvements and changes to better meet the needs and desires of residents. Finalists are subjected to a rigorous onsite visit in February with winners announced at a luncheon in London in March this year. All finalists receive a cheque for £500 for their nominated local charity.

Extensive refurbishment work at Fazakerley House Care Centre was completed in November 2005. Local construction firm Sloyans and interior designers Catalyst were employed to complete the project. Fazakerley House is now able to accommodate 30 residential clients in luxurious surroundings.

Meridian Healthcare is one of the largest providers of care for the elderly Knowsley and in recent months has drastically improved the quality of the facilities introducing much needed single en suite bedrooms in the Prescot area.

Meridian Healthcare Group Operations Director, Susan Firth is delighted with the news: ‘Congratulations and thanks must go to everyone involved in the project as well as all staff and residents at Fazakerley House. All at Meridian Healthcare are delighted that the changes at Fazakerley House have received such positive feedback and we are delighted that this has been recognised at a national level.’
