NEWLY REFURBISHED FAZAKERLEY HOUSE RE-OPENS!

24/11/2005
Fazakerley House in Prescot was delighted to welcome Councillor Jim Keight, Mayor of Knowsley and his consort to officiate at it’s re-opening.

After thanking, Sloyans Construction, Catalyst Support Services and residents and staff at Fazakerley House on behalf of Meridian Healthcare, the Mayor formally re-opened the care centre. Fazakerley House has undergone a major refurbishment including the addition of a number of large en suite bedrooms. All areas of the home including resident’s bedrooms have been completely redecorated and in some cases re-structured to provide additional space and en suite facilities.

Many local healthcare professionals, staff from Social Services and members of the local community attended the champagne reception and lunch along with relatives and residents of Fazakerley House. Guests included senior representatives from the local Prescot Cables Football club.

Care Centre Manager Catherine Atkinson and Operations Manager Mark Birchenough were kept busy showing individuals around the home whilst guests enjoyed light refreshments. Guests commented on the superb finish and attention to detail throughout the home and were surprised by the space afforded to residents as standard within the Meridian Healthcare group.

The completion of Fazakerley House is not the only investment initiative in the Merseyside area. Meridian Healthcare Operations Director Susan Firth commented: ‘ Ash Court in Knotty Ash is next to receive the ‘Meridian’ touch with Kirkby House following on shortly afterward. The build of Roby House in Huyton is also well underway with the roof expected to be in place in early December. We are committed to bringing high quality services and facilities to Merseyside.’

Further details on any of the initiatives mentioned can be found on the Meridian Healthcare website: www.meridiancare.co.uk
