Meridian Healthcare staff celebrated last month as the winners of the newly launched Employee Merit Scheme were announced.

The scheme aims to recognise the hard work and commitment of Meridian Healthcare's dedicated employees. Colleagues, residents at the care centres and visitors have voted for the winners, which make the winning particularly special. The reasons for nomination include: achieving high standards of excellence, outstanding performance, attitude and commitment as well as having a special rapport with other employees, visitors and residents.

Tina Parker from Greatwood House became the first employee to be awarded the Gold Award. Tina, an employee at Greatwood House for over 20 years has worked in a number of different roles for the company and is currently a Support Worker at the Care Centre in Denton. Tina was presented with a certificate, flowers, and vouchers by Care Centre Manager Debbie Thomson on behalf of Meridian Healthcare to congratulate her on such an achievement.

The Silver and Bronze awards were presented to Maureen Harker, Care Assistant at Amber Lodge in Leeds and Keith Thorpe, a Senior Care Assistant at Holme Lea Care Centre in Stalybridge.
