Staff at White Rose House taking part in a 'bed push'!

WHITE ROSE HOUSE STAFF PUSHED TO THE LIMIT!

23/09/2005
Staff at Meridian Healthcare’s White Rose House White Rose House took to the streets last Sunday and took part in a bed push to raise money for residents at the Holmfirth Care Centre.

Care Centre Manager Joanne Hempstock, Operations Manager Mandy Bennett and other staff all took part and raised £500 for the residents’ funds, which will be used for outings and other activities. The event, organised by activities coordinator Julie Hunter, took place on Hade Edge Main Street. Staff took turns to push the bed a total of 1 mile which was kindly donated for the day by Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. Not only did staff push the bed down the street, they did it all in their pyjamas!

Julie Hunter, Activities Coordinator at White Rose House commented, ‘Everyone enjoyed the event and the money raised will be put to good use for residents. Our recent 1st birthday party was enjoyed by all and we look forward to having more fun events in the future.’

Activities at White Rose House are part of everyday life with bingo, motivation classes and special occasion parties being enjoyed by residents and staff alike. Everyone who took part enjoyed the event and look forward to putting the funds raised to good use in the run up to Christmas at White Rose House.

Ends.
