FIR TREES INVESTMENT PROGRAMME WOWs RESIDENTS

20/01/2005
Annie gives Fir Trees refurbishment the thumbs-up! Annie Birch, resident at Fir Trees Care Centre is so delighted with the investment into the Dukinfield care centre that she is giving the changes a big thumbs-up. When asked her opinion of the refurbishment, she described the changes ‘like walking into a 5-star hotel’.

Fir Trees has recently undergone an investment programme of £400,000 creating additional en-suite facilities for its residents as well as redecorating throughout the home. In Annie’s opinion the larger size rooms have made all the difference to her ability to organise her room to her own taste and needs.

Residents are now able to make cups of tea or cold drinks at any time of the day or night in the newly created kitchenette facility and according to Home Manager Anne Dobson, feedback from both residents and relatives on the refurbishment work has been fantastic. ‘Residents and relatives have been so thrilled with the changes, many have asked for a grand tour to see all the newly decorated and refurbished rooms.’
