A £1m investment programme into The Sycamores in Newton, Hyde started in May 2006 and is expected to complete in March 2007.

Investment into The Sycamores during 2006/7 will see a complete upgrade to all internal and some key external areas. Major works include the replacement of the current roof as well as some internal restructuring.

Internal restructuring will replace the one remaining shared room with single rooms in this warm and welcoming home.

Manager Lynn Davidson is delighted with the upgade programme. 'The project includes some essential work and will also bring The Sycamores in line with other Meridian facilities in terms of our interior design and standard of furniture and fittings.' The final result will be beautifully appointed making The Sycamores an even nicer place to stay.
