NEW BEDS AND FACILITIES AVAILABLE AT KIRKBY HOUSE
The 4 large en suite bedrooms will enable Kirkby House to now offer residential and dementia care for up to 44 older people. The bedrooms have been created to compliment the beautiful finish in the existing 40 bedrooms, with tasteful décor, modern furniture and fittings, with high quality carpets, curtains and bedding.
The addition of a relaxation therapy room or more commonly known as a Snoozelum will benefit the residents at Kirkby House many of whom suffer with dementia related conditions. Experience of the Snoozelum facilities in other homes around the Meridian group prove that the sensory rooms have a calming influence on residents who often become agitated due to their conditions. The relaxation and calming atmosphere improves behaviour and promotes reminiscence often an experience enjoyed by residents.
Staff and residents at Kirkby House will be officially celebrating the completion of their investment project with an open day party on Thursday 6th September 2-4pm, all are welcome to take this opportunity to join us and to experience Kirkby House’s facilities for themselves.
If you would like further information on Kirkby House or would like to attend the open day, please contact Care Centre Manager Madeleine Ward on 0151 289 9202.
