Staff and residents at Meridian Healthcare’s Holme Lea Care Centre in Stalybridge invited family and friends to join them on Tuesday 26th June in celebration of the completion of refurbishment work.

The refurbishment project has transformed the care centre into a stunning hotel style environment. The care centre now benefits from an additional bedroom and sun room. All dining, lounge and reception areas have been completely refurbished. The stunning sun room opens out onto a private patio area for residents to sit and enjoy the fresh air on summer days.

Holme Lea provides first class residential and dementia care for up to 48 older people, the home is purpose built over two floors and offers residents spacious single rooms many with en suite facilities. 24 hour care means residents can relax in their own rooms or join fellow residents in various lounge, dining and quiet areas and feel safe and secure in a friendly environment.

Care Centre Manager Elaine Bradley comments: ‘Holme Lea is looking fabulous, the transformation is breathtaking, I feel proud of the home and enjoyed showing it off to visitors on the open day, I would like to say thank you to all of our residents for being very patient over the past few months of refurbishment work and it has definitely been worth the wait. It is nice for our surroundings to compliment the excellent care our staff provide, the fresh décor now matches the friendly atmosphere in the home.’
