Meridian Healthcare’s Kingsfield in Ashton-under-Lyne will be extending its facilities, allowing the care centre to house up to 54 residents. From June Kingsfield will offer 2 additional bedrooms, both with en suite shower rooms, a relaxation therapy room and an additional shower room.

Popular Kingsfield is currently home to 52 residents and offers 1st class residential and dementia care in beautiful surroundings. The creation of 2 extra bedrooms will mean the home is able to offer their facilities to a larger client group.

The extension work scheduled for completion in September. Both bedrooms will be large, bright and feature en suite shower facilities. The rooms will be tastefully decorated and finished with high quality carpets, curtains, fixtures and fittings. Bedrooms at Kingsfield are all fully furnished with the option for residents to bring their own belongings to make their rooms as individual as they are, for extra convenience television and telephone points are fitted as standard.

Care Centre Manager Rita Shockledge comments: ‘We are especially looking forward to the creation of the relaxation therapy room, it is especially good for residents with dementia related conditions and sensory impairment, the calm atmosphere, colours and sounds help our residents to relax and offers a pleasant escape for quiet reflection.’
