The Sycamores is situated close to Talbot Road which has quote a few local shops including a Library, Post Office, numerous Pubs, St Mary's Church of England church, local newsagent, supermarket and a betting shop.

The buses are very frequent, 346 which stops directly outside the Home goes to Hyde then Ashton and occaisionaly goes to Gee Cross.

387 again outside the Home goes on a circular route to Ashton-Stalybridge-Dukinfield-Hyde. 42 outside the Home goes to Ashton-Dukinfield-Hyde.
There is a train station on Danby Road which is just off Victoria Street approx. 5 min walk from The Sycamores which goes to Hadfield/Glossop or Manchester Piccadilly.
Hyde town centre is approx. a 10 minute walk away where there is a selection of shopping outlets, local market etc. and access to the M60.
