Welcome to John Joseph Powell Nursing & Care Centre, a very friendly place where we aim to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible.

We have a lot to offer you - such as excellent accomodation, lovely home-cooked food and all the help you need to make your life here comfortable and pleasant.

You have your own room, so you can manitain your independance and privacy - although if you wish, you can spend time with your fellow residents ina variety of lounge and dining areas. Our nursing care support staff are on call 24 hours a day should any emergency arise.

It's important to us that you feel relaxed and welcome, and that your relatives are confident you are being well supported. We do everything we can to make this a very pleasant place to be, but if there is anything you think we can improve on, we are always keen to hear you comments and suggestions.

Fine dining at John Joseph Powell Memorial Nursing Home & Care Centre

We all know that food is one of life's great pleasures, so we provide a varied choice of menu every day. You can eat in your own room or with the other residents in the dining room. As well as your main meals, you can have snacks and drinks at any time of day or night, and if you have a special diet, our cook will be happy to discuss it with you before you come to stay with us.

Your visitors are important to us, and of course they are very welcome here. Friends and family can come to see you at any time throughout te day and evening. They can visit you in your own room, in nay of then lounge and dining areas, or in our designated quiet room.

There are many activities for you to join in with ranging from trips to local points of interest, to playing cards and doing armchair aerobics or even arts and crafts with your fellow residents. We also hold events such as fetes, special occasion parties and birthday celebrations which we hope you will get involved with - and invite your friends and family.
