We hope your stay with us will be as enjoyable as possible. Greatwood House has a lot to offer, and these pages show you some of our facilities. For example. there's tastefully decorated and furnished accommodation, superb home cooking and dedicated staff who do all they can to make your life here pleasant and comfortable.
Your own private room helps you keep your independence – although there’s a variety of lounges and dining areas where you can spend time with your fellow residents if you prefer. You also have the constant support and attention of our highly trained staff, who are available 24 hours a day in case of an emergency.
We make every effort to ensure Greatwood House is a very pleasant place to be, but if there’s anything you think we can improve on, we welcome your suggestions. After all, the most important thing is for you to feel happy and relaxed here, and for your friends and family to know you are well supported.

There are many activities for you to join in with, including trips to the coast, shopping expeditions and theatre visits. We also hold fetes, which we hope you will get involved with – and invite your family and friends.
We provide a vaired choice of menu every day - after all, food is one of life's great pleasures. You can eat in your own room or with other residents in one of our dining rooms. As well as your main meals, you can have snacks and drinks at any time of the day or night, and if you have a special diet, our chef will be happy to discuss it with you before you come to stay with us.
Greatwood House includes a purpose-built, fully-equipped day care centre. Up to 15 visitors a day can come for care and companionship, in a friendly, safe environment. The social activities available are excellent, and we provide up to three meals during the day.
The centre also has its own toilet and bathing facilities, separate from the care home
