John Joseph Powell Nursing Home in Prescot, Knowsley is a very friendly place in beautiful surroundings where we aim to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. We provide nursing care and palliative care.  We have a lot to offer you, such as excellent accommodation, lovely home-cooked food and all the support you need to make your life here pleasant and comfortable.

We are proud to announce that John Joseph Powell has been awarded Beacon Status by the Gold Standards Framework for end of life care. This is the highest accoldade awarded under the framework and recognises excellence in end of life care.  

 

Accommodation

We have 45 beautiful single bedrooms, all decorated and equipped to the highest standard. Many bedrooms include en suite facilities and some even have fully fitted baths.  All rooms also comprise a television, telephone point, electronic call system and thermostatic temperature control.

You can be as private or as sociable as you like. Our residents can relax in one of the comfortable lounges or participate in any of the arranged in-house activities. We also have a conservatory overlooking the sparkling fountain - the perfect place to entertain visitors.

We are located in Prescot in a very convenient place on the high street, close to the library. We offer plenty of parking for you and your visitors.  

Services

You will have your own personal care plan and can continue with your GP if he/she is able to see you. We can arrange a variety of healthcare visits for you including; optician, dentist, dietician, chiropody and physiotherapy. You will also find an in-house hairdressing salon and full laundry service.
