We can also provide short stays when carers are unavailable or taking a holiday. Our Care Centre Manager would be pleased to discuss availability and booking terms.
Long Term Care – Residential: Residential care is ideal for those who are finding it difficult to manage living at home alone. Providing quality accommodation, home-cooked meals and help with everyday routines such as bathing and dressing can give much relief to an individual. In addition, carers are available and can be called upon 24 hours a day. Our local District Nurse team provides any minor medical treatment required. Loneliness can affect many older people living alone and the social aspect of living with other people and taking part in activities and social events in a friendly, warm environment can be very reassuring.
Day respite & Bathing Services: Rievaulx House offers an exclusive Day Respite Club. We have a very small number of places to ensure that those choosing our club get the best possible experience whilst with us. Day respite can be booked in advance and can be on an ad hoc basis or regular days in the week – whatever suits you. Day respite offers the opportunity to meet others, join in activities, and generally feel pampered and looked after.
In addition, we can offer a separate Bathing Service for people who find it difficult to bath or shower at home without assistance. We can offer a traditional bath should you wish to have a ‘soak’ or walk-in shower facilities in a spacious bathroom. Assistance is available from our care team should you require it and your privacy and dignity are assured. Finish off your experience with a warming cup of tea!
