Grange View Intermediate Care Unit
Hyde Nursing Home is also the home to an intermediate care service called Grange View. Grange View services are provided by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. The Pennine Care team is made up of healthcare assistants, nurses and therapists who will help patients to recover and regain their independence following a hospital stay. This will include patients who have a long term condition, those who need help with dressings and wound care and people with mobility problems.

Hyde Nursing Home has qualified nurses on duty 24 hours a day. We can care for individuals with a dementia or physical disability. Typically our residents are older people, however we are able to accommodate younger adults too. Our registration covers care for Alzheimer's, Cancer Care, Hearing Impairment, Huntington's Disease, Speech Impairment, Stroke, and Visual Impairment. We are able to offer short stay, recuperation or intermediate care facilities and work closely with healthcare professionals to provide any therapies required for your recovery or ongoing well-being. This care centre is able to provide specialist end of life care. Hyde Nursing Home is a Meridian HARMONY home. As such we focus on the individual. HARMONY is proven to improve the individual's quality of life and has shown impressive results in terms of helping residents to eat and sleep well, and to enjoy life to the full.
The staff and care centre have undertaken to follow the Gold Standards Framework for Care Homes, which supports families and residents at this time. Residents are given greater control and more involvement in their care choices. This is done by creating advanced care plans where residents and their families are invited to discuss their choices, preferences and the options available in order to meet their individual needs and wishes. This type of advanced care cuts down on unnecessary hospital admissions, allowing residents the dignity to live out their last days in a comfortable environment with familiar staff who have cared for them throughout.
