Over the years we have won many awards for the excellence of our facilities and our staff. Our success continues.
Meridian Healthcare has achieved the Investors in People GOLD again. One of a small handful of care sector operators to achieve GOLD twice in successive assessments. All Meridian care centres were assessed in December 2014 and the results confirmed in January 2015. Meridian was originally assessed as being an IIP Gold organisation in December 2011.

Winner of Registered Care Home Manager: Dot Pye, Care Centre Manager from John Joseph Powell in Knowsley.
Winner of 'Putting People First': Fir Trees care team. Fir Trees is located in Dukinfield in Tameside.
Finalist in Registered Care Home Manager: Marie McPherson, Care Centre Manager from Greatwood House in Denton.

As Winner of the North West region's Care Innovator Award, Sharon Wood attended the Great British Care Awards in London.
Great North West Care Awards 2012
Following the development of Meridian's dementia care programme HARMONY, Sharon Wood, Quality Assurance Manager was shortlisted and won Care Innovator of the Year 2012 at the Great British Care Awards.
HARMONY was developed using the best UK dementia care research. It is an holistic development and training programme to help improve the day-to-day quality of life of residents with dementia related conditions. We have seen dramtic and proven results in our homes where the programme has been fully integrated.
We were also fortunate to have the team at Lauren Court in Chester shortlisted as finalists in the Care Team Award.

On 22nd June, Yew Trees, Fir Trees, The Beeches and Greatwood House achieved 'Daisy Status' and were awarded with plaques for completing the Dignity in Care Scheme. Each completed and passed the three-part assessment process and have been recognised as providers of dignity for those in their care.
Nominated for the Skills for Care Most Effective Employer Investment In Apprenticeships Award in the Skills for Care Accolades 2010.
Winner - Alan Firth is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009 award recipient in the North and Midlands Region.
